I work on attaining specific, measurable outcomes for each session.

My approach incorporates the following:

  • Explain the role of emotions and stress  in our well-being
  • Identify and release deep seated anger, resentment, fears, guilt etc

  • Desensitise possible traumas.

  • Identify possible “secondary gains” that might hold back recovery.

  • Teach you EFT( the Tapping Technique) to accelerate changes.

  • Use guided visualisation

  • Clear  unconscious blockages and reinforce changes  through hypnotic inductions.

  • Teach breathing techniques for relaxation of body and mind.

  • Use muscle testing to check progress

Our brain is like a GPS, this device where you punch in where you want to go and it takes you there.

What we must remember is that we need to program  in where we WANT to go...Not where we DON’T want to end up!

The same as you don’t go shopping with a list of things you don’t want!

So, what have you been programming into your brain?!

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. EFT is a meridian energy therapy - just like acupuncture or acupressure, it works directly on the meridian system in the body. But instead of needles, you stimulate the major meridian points by tapping on them or massaging them lightly.

EFT stops emotional over-reacting quickly and brings about  lasting improvements to leave you in control of your thoughts and body.

The method is also called  the “Tapping” technique and is based on light tapping of acupuncture points, while saying  selected Key Phrases, to actively program your mind and nervous system to adopt different attitudes. This is like pressing the "Delete" key on your computer.

It is a powerful way to unblock  unconscious reasons that have kept you stuck  in  negative thinking.

It's so easy that just about anyone can do it . Children love it and learn it in minutes.

It is used with amazing success, throughout the world, with people who have been through disasters or other traumas.

It is an extremely efficient tool to control anxiety, lack of confidence, fears, panic attacks etc

I mentioned to you that you cannot get rid of  something you are not aware of! In order to find those secondary gains that are keeping you stuck, you have to find a way to bring them into awareness.

EFT does that in a very efficient way.

You bring unconscious reasons to the surface, but instead of drowning in them...you flush them out with the tapping.

It might sounds too good to be true but it works!

EFT is not a so much a ’therapy’, it is a vacuum cleaner. It springs clean your old skeletons in your cupboards, it get rid of stale beliefs and fears

and makes space for  clear thoughts and fresh outlooks.

Hypnosis allows communication with our subconscious mind.

Conscious / Unconscious

Our unconscious can deal with 20 millions stimuli per second...

Our conscious mind can deal with only 40 stimuli per second!

The unconscious, or subconscious mind, is the storehouse of our memories.

It is concerned with everything we do automatically (from changing gear while driving, tying a shoe lace, to lighting a cigarette without thinking…) and also, our autonomic responses (like breathing, digestion, hormone release etc)

Our unconscious is much more powerful  than our conscious, as it deals with our survival. It’s job is to protect us from getting hurt. If it perceives a threat, it will do all it can to stop us going there by activating the Fight or Flight response.

Why positive thinking is not enough

Our conscious, our will power, our analytical mind, can create positive thoughts: “I am slim... I am a confident person…I sleep well at night” etc

Our unconscious is a record of ” actions-reactions” that have been learnt through experience or instinct and  have been memorised.

It stores these programmed behaviours and  replays automatically the same reactions for the same signals. It is programmed to make decisions similar to what is already in its data base.

It just repeat what’s on the tape!

For example, if your conscious mind, wants to feel calm and focused during an interview but your unconscious mind has already programmed memories of failure, anxiety or associations of discomfort, then you will probably panic as this is the blue print your unconscious mind is following.

This is why changes have to be made(and accepted) at that

powerful unconscious level.

Psychotherapy session

Why Hypnosis?

Why EFT ?

Magic Wands are not what they used to be:

People come to me wanting to get rid of  unwanted behaviours, like overeating, panic attacks, phobias, chronic pain etc. They want me to wave a magic wand and when they open their eyes, they want to be someone else!

Re-program your brain

The reason why it is not always that easy is that:

There is a positive intention behind every behaviour and our unconscious mind  believes we need this fear, addiction , craving etc. It believes it serves  a purpose. We do not keep a behaviour if it is not doing something for us. We need to deal with these ‘positive intentions’ or ‘secondary gains’ for change to be accepted at the unconscious level. Some examples:

  • The cigarettes that helped the young smoker belong to a peer group
  • The alcohol that fills the void... of loneliness or guilt...
  • The overeating that hides another sort of hunger, for  love or acceptance ?
  • The instant fix of addiction: what so desperately needs fixing??
  • The nightmare of flashbacks or phobias: Danger! Don’t go there!
  • The physical symptoms of  IBS, migraines, Fibromyalgia etc: What is the message your body is telling you?

Your subconscious won’t let go of the cigarettes if they are the only way you relax, as relaxation is vital for our survival. It won’t let you get better  if ME is the only way that stops you working 15 hours a day...

Is there a problem !?

Because the problem started as a solution (ie: when we needed to feel at ease, needed comforting etc), it is still kept at the unconscious level, as a solution....But now, it has become the problem!

The cigarettes that helped us ‘belong’ are killing us,

the alcohol that helped us cope has now taken our

control away, the comfort food  makes us

uncomfortable and unhappy, the flashbacks are

ruining our life etc

Don’t deny it

Our unconscious mind’s job is to protect us. In order to stop us from feeling threatened or hurt,  it can use ‘denial’ or ‘clamp down’ on memories and in doing this, can contract muscles or organs where memory is stored. Clamping down can cause depletion of energy, which, if not sorted out, can cause symptoms, both emotionally or physically. See acupressure massage

Be aware!

The opposite of  denial  is AWARENESS , we must stop putting things under the carpet ! However, we do not have to get rid of our anger, guilt, fear, blame...to be free of  physical or emotional imbalance, we just need  to get rid of  our RESISTANCE  to feeling the anger, fear, resentment etc... Then, we let it go!! We release it out of our body and out of our life.

For change to be permanent,  it has to be accepted at the unconscious level

which  has to believe that it is now SAFE  to change.

This is where hypnosis comes into it. Please read on...

The conscious is what is in our awareness at this precise moment... Which is surprisingly very little! We can only be aware of about 7 (+ - 2) things at once or we would become inundated with too many stimuli!

Everything else belongs to the unconscious mind.
